Casino Coach

Some people who see Big Red think that the paint job looks like diamonds as on a deck of cards.  We've had many admiring comments about Big Red since we bought her in 2003.  I wish we could take credit for designing the paint scheme, but we bought her used, so someone else deserves the credit.

Linda loves playing the games in casinos, especially slot machines.  She is the only person I know that can consistently win on slots.  Linda can play a slot and win.  Tim sits down at the same slot machine and loses.  Tim picks another slot machine to play and loses.  Linda plays that machine and wins.  Go figure!  Tim should just be the "casino coach" bus driver and leave the playing and winning to Linda.
Over the years of our travels, we have visited many casinos. Most of these casino also have RV parks.  Maybe RVers are known to gamble.  Linda has accumulated many casino loyalty cards.  Below is a picture of her with just a few of her cards. Linda says the lanyard with the card also work as a cat leash.

We stayed a total of 8 days visiting the Twin Cites.  Two casino RV parks served as our home during our Twin Cities visit.  The first four days we stayed at Dakota Meadows RV Park (http://www.dakotahmeadows.com/), which is owned by Mystic Lake Casino & Hotel in Prior Lake, MN. http://www.mysticlake.com/ .  The RV park was very nice and offered a free shuttle to the casino door.  It even had an underground tornado shelter that we considered using one night.

We used this RV park as our base while attending the Back to the 50's car show in St. Paul and the mill museum in Minneapolis.  It was a bit of a drive each day, but we navigated around traffic.

We moved to Treasure Island (what a coincidence) Casino Hotel and RV Park (http://www.treasureislandcasino.com/casino-mn/) in Welch near Red Wing, MN.  The RV park served as our base to tour the Upper Mississippi River.

Both the casino and RV park were not as nice as our previous location, but Linda still had success on the slots.  The RV park was a paved parking lot with gravel strips on each row for underground utilities access.  It did serve the purpose.  We weren't in the bus much.  Visiting the river, Red Wing shoe store and the casino took most of our time.

The Upper Mississippi River, Red Wing Shoe Store and Lark Toys occupied our time while staying at the Treasure Island Casino.  Linda and Tim also celebrated a special day during our visit.
